Meet Pastor Atterbury

Apostle Atterbury Sr, Pastor

Bishop Bobby Atterbury was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Corine Atterbury and Willie Mceachern. He has three sisters and six brothers. Bishop Atterbury is married to Diana Atterbury and is a father to fourteen children with one child preceding him in death. He also has ten grandchildren.

 

He attended Refreshing Springs Church of God in Christ beginning at eleven years of age where he sang in the church choir.  During his tenure at Refreshing Springs, he drove the church van, served as a Deacon of the church as well as Youth Pastor over the Youth Department.   He was later ordained as Minister of the church, and a few years later was ordained as Elder of the church by Bishop Larry Bellamy where he served until 2003.  Under Bishop Bellamy he was trained in every aspect of the ministry.   Bishop Bellamy taught him to Stand firm on the word of God; Move as God says; and Stand still as God says stand still.  Under Bishop Bellamy he was taught to teach Sunday School lessons, prepare messages and most importantly he was taught to be humble and respectful.  He served as Bishop Bellamy’s adjunct and was always at his side.

 

In 2003 he was called and ordained to open Powerhouse Deliverance Church of God in Christ.  In 2006 he was ordained as Bishop.  During this time, Bishop Bellamy served as his overseer.  Bishop Atterbury later moved to Atlanta, Georgia and opened Powerhouse Praise Christian Center where Apostle Kenneth Freeman serves as overseer.  Powerhouse Praise Christian Center is a Non-Denominational Holiness Church where we believe in Miracles, Healing, and Speaking in Tongues.  We are a Five-Fold Ministry believing that Christ was Born, Crucified, and Rose again on the Third day with all Power in his hands.
